Enterprise Connect is the leading conference and exhibition dedicated to enterprise communications and collaboration, providing insights into the latest technologies and trends shaping the industry. 

The Momentum Team recently attended Enterprise Connect 2025 where we took part in impactful sessions while engaging with our partners like Luware.

There was a lot to like about this year’s event. But the crowning moment came during Microsoft’s keynote delivered by Ilya Bukshteyn, where he introduced groundbreaking updates for Microsoft Teams under the core themes of Secure, Simple, and Smart.

So, what happened at Enterprise Connect 2025? Here are the most exciting innovations and insights we learned from the keynote.

Facilitator Agent: Revolutionizing Meeting Insights

Microsoft introduced the Facilitator Agent, a powerful new tool allowing seamless access to video feeds in Microsoft Teams Rooms. 

This feature enhances productivity by providing valuable insights and analytics, helping organizations streamline meetings and improve collaboration.

Interpreter Agent: Breaking Language Barriers

Attendees witnessed a remarkable live demonstration of the Interpreter Agent, showcasing real-time voice translations directly within Teams. 

This exciting capability promises to break down communication barriers, fostering greater inclusivity and efficiency in global collaboration. 

 

Microsoft Places: Effortless Location Setting

A new feature is coming to Teams and Microsoft Places. This feature simplifies setting your physical location within Teams using Wi-Fi networks and access points. 

With location setting, you can ensure your team members are always aware of each other’s location, enhancing coordination and collaboration in hybrid work environments.

 

Queues App: Advanced Call Management

The Queues App will be available for public preview in April. This feature introduces essential call management tools like barge, whisper, monitor, and takeover features. 

These enhancements are ideal for IT help desks and customer service teams, empowering supervisors to manage high call volumes and ensure excellent customer service effectively.

Live Website Chat for Small Businesses

Small businesses have much to celebrate as Microsoft Teams introduces live chat capabilities directly integrated into websites. 

Now available in the US and launching globally by March, this feature enables instant, seamless customer interactions directly through Teams, significantly enhancing customer service experiences.

Teams Phone Extensibility: Unifying Collaboration and Contact Centers

Microsoft Teams Phone unveiled a pivotal integration with Dynamics 365 and certified partners, transforming Teams Phone into a powerful collaboration and contact center solution. 

Luware, our valued partner, further detailed the importance of Teams Phone Extensibility and its transformative potential for customer interactions and operational efficiency.

Teams Phone Mobile proudly announced new operator partnerships, including Bell Canada, Odido (Netherlands), Vodafone UK, and Vodafone Germany. 

Users can now seamlessly make and receive calls with a single number on both mobile devices and Teams endpoints, with more expansions anticipated soon.

SMS Integration for Teams Calling Plans

US and Canadian Teams Calling Plans customers now have the ability to send and receive SMS messages directly from Teams. 

This new feature simplifies external communication, allowing users to connect easily with customers and partners who are not using Teams, enhancing overall business connectivity and responsiveness.
